Abstract
One-third of all pregnant women bleed in the first trimester. Approximately half of these abort spontaneously.
Hospital statistics were used to identify 42 patients with vaginal bleeding during pregnancy who were admitted to Conmaul Oriental Hospital between Dec. 1996 and Sep. 1999.
We treated them with ANJEONECHEONTANG and KYOESAMULTANG by their differentiation of syndrome. Western medication was also applied to 62% of the patients.
According to follow-up, 50% of them successfully gave birth to babies and 17% of them maintained pregnancy.
This result shows that oriental treatment is effective on stabilizing pregnancy. So we report it with a short brief review of the literature.
